Don H. reported a fish fry at the Vets Home is Fri. Nov. 17. Needs volunteers. Be at Home by 11:00 AM.
Helmet law for Nebraska goes into effect Jan. 1, 2024.
ALR Christmas party not booked. Discussed having a potluck supper sometime in Jan. at the Legion.
Veterans Day activities discussed. Nov. 10.
ALR membership dues of $20.00 are due by Jan. 1, 2024.
Don L. reported about the money he received from Thrivent was donated to the Vets Home to provide items the Vets needed. Among the items were tee shirts,, coffee, shaving cream and lotion, kleenix. Thrivent insurance donated 25 tee shirts of their own to the Vets Home.
Gun raffle was discussed. The second weekend in March. This will be held at the War Horse. This is the former DeVent Center. Les K has a hand gun to raffle. No action was taken on this. Also discussed was a quilt to be raffled at the same time as the gun show.
